Guest Reviews

Love this place. Set in lovely town and real old fashioned feel. Menu choices are superb, the quality of food great, plates are hot, and the staff are very welcoming. We had carrot and coriander soup and warm buttery bread, sea bass with fondant potato, scampi and chips, steak pie and chips and salmon teriyaki with tempura prawns. Good choice of drinks. Will be back.

Selected at random, but our party of five were all unanimous on the excellent quality of food and service in this charming and delightful restaurant/hotel/pub. Great value too.

Just the right amount of friendly service from the owner and staff completed the experience. Will return and would recommend.

I’ve been coming here for over 30 years. Not often but regular, the beer is great always 3-4 real ales. The wine is very good with great selection of whites and reds. The food is fantastic with price range for most pockets I have chicken linguini and it was fantastic for under £9. Highly recommend this place for a special meal in the restaurant or a very good bar meal in the pub area. Usually don’t need to book although weekends do get busy.
